THE ROSE AND SHAMROCK (TRIBUTE).
A nice parcel of 161f ounces of gold was lodged in the Bank of New Zealand on Wednesday. The' Rose and Shamrock is what mdy be called an Alpine mine, being situated on almost the highest range on the Thames, near Dixon's No. I mine, away to the left of Punga Flat. It was at one time a formost favorite on the Thames Stock Exchange, rating with Dixon's Nos. 1 and 2, and many other mines whose names have been either changed or forgotten.
