THE COLIBAN.
On Monday last a parcel of veiy nice, specimens came to hand; and on visiting the mino yesterday I learned that another lot had come to hand; during the night and forenoon shifts. They are taken out of a reef in the stopes, and not far from where ;the old shot of gold came in. The mine arrangements!, so'farasi could see, are very good. The winze has enough surface Water running down' it to make it a little dirty, but not sufficient in any way to impede the works. The find of goM is of considerable importance to; ■the ColibahCoriipanyas it has'been met irith in_the..shot anticipated by survey, and aa it has been true to survey sp far the probability is that the" Coliban Company have large blocks of auriferous and payable sjfcone, and, they deserve it, as a large amouht of expensive dead work has been done in the mine. •'.
