To the Editor of the Evening Star.' Sib,—l am rather astonished 'at the apathy of the Thames public in allowing such an estimable and charitable gentleman as Mr. John Bothwick (late of the Whau) to leave without some public recognition of his many donations to^the various local institutions. If not too late I would suggest that a public meeting be called and a committee appointed to make arrangements for a .banquet or some becoming testimonial for his many qualities. Pacific; "
