CROWN PRINCE.
On the No. 1 reef the connecting winze is down 55 feet; there is about ten feet more to sink. There is a good strong lode being carried down with the winze, occasionally showing gold. On the No. 2 reef the winze is down 45 feet; that on No.. 3 is down the required depth. No. 3 reef has been intersected by a cross-cut carried in from the shaft. It is a good, bold, strong body of stone, about three feet from wall to wall, and from which some really good golden stone was taken yesterday,' some of it good enough to be called specimens. It is not the manager's intention to open out on this reef till the engine and winding gear are in position J it would take too much costly handling. Accepted plans, by Mr. Vickery, came to hand this morning for engine house and boiler shed. The engine is daily expected from Auckland.
