A splended lot of stone was shot,down yesterday morning . from the. south-cast end of the drive; one large specimen stone showing two bands of gold running through it for more.than a foot in length, and from; the appearance of 4he.fracture where broken, more of the same bands must be Jeffc in the face. The Manukau Company have now on: hand nearly two tons weight of really good; specimens, the reduction of which will be commenced as soon as tepid water can be brought to the battery, preparations for which are being made by ? the Pumping Association. If will be, it is though.*, Wednesday or Thursday; before these arrangements .can be completed.
