EXPLANATION.
(To the Editor of the Evening, Star.) Siß.-^With reference' to" a local which appeared m Saturday morning's Adrertiser, and which igoutd seem to correct a | portion.of the 80-ough Council report in your issue of Friday,' I -may' «tate, for your satisfaction, that Cr. Kilgour did ■ I not give " a notice : of motion ". on that occasion; and, assuming that the Editor derived hia information from-Gr.Bjlirour, it would, I imagine, have, .been more' courteous of Cr. Kilgour had he brought the correction—if any was, necessary —*to you. This more especially as, at the time of Cr. Kilgour's making his propoxi. turn, thero was no - representative of the Advertiser present. ; Ybuk
