BLACK ANGEL GOLDMINING COMPANY.
ANNUAL MEETING.
The annual meeting of the shareholder! ' of the Black' Angel Company was held in the v Mechanics' Institute this afternoon, Mr. Mclntyre in the chair. The directors' roport showed that 1316 tons of stone had been, crushed for a yield of 1891 oz. of gold, and that the company's affairs are in a prosperous condition. The balance-sheet shewed a balance in hand of £247 8a 4d, and mine assets of £13,353 7s did. The mine manager's and surveyor's reports were also read. On the motion that the report bo adopted as read, a most stormy discus* sion ensued. On the question of an honorarium of £60 to the directory for past services, and £1 per month each for the ensuing twelve months, the motion was negatived by a show of hands, when the chairman demanded a poll, which resulted in a discussion still in progress when we went to press.
