THE BLACK ANGEL.

A very wise arrangement lias been made by this company with the Sons of Freedom directors, by which the water from the Black Angel—or most of it, will be llumccl, through, the Sons .of-Freedom ground, and thence into the creek. This work has been commenced, and will be vigorously carried out. JDixon's No. 1 have alsq made an arrangement with the Black Angel Company by which in a short time they will be enabled, to truck their stone to'the bottom of the underground engine« shaft, and from thence into a hopper on theMoanatairi tramyay. This .threefold arrangement will save considerable costs in the Black Angel and Dixon's No. 1 mines'; without in the least doing away with necessary labor, because when the Black Angel is better drained, more hands can be put on to open out'and break out stone, and in the. case of Dijon's No.'l has for years wanted some means of being independent in choice ; that company's crushing power Las. for at Itast sis months put if the twelve, been dependent on a rainfall supply of -wakr.' When the present arrangements are completed there can be no hindrance to crushing, the tramway being always available. The arrangement between the Black Angel, Dixon's No. 1 and the Sons of Freedom Companies is a very wise one, and is, a step in the right direction of companies coming to a useful, amicable understanding without the intervention of law and its costs.
