HAWKE'S BAY.
Napier, This day. xirrived : Pretty Jane; from Auckland, on the 17th. Michael Lyell was killed by being crushed between the steamers Patterson and Pretty Jane, as the latter was coming alongside the wharf. The deceased and another man, who was hurt seriously, were in the pilot boat at the time. ;
