(Before Jackson Keddell Esq., B M.) DRUNKENNESS. Alexander Buchannan was charged with the above offence; bail forfeited. HABITUAL DBtTNKENNESS. Christina Wilson was charged with being drunk and disorderly in Abrahamstreet, Grahamstown. Defendant pleaded guilty. A further charge was then proceeded with. Christina Wilson was then charged with being an habitual drunkard, having been three times convicted of that offence during the preceding 12 months. Defendant pleaded guilty. Mr. Bullen stated that the accused had been convicted of drunkenness four times, and had been imprisoned for 12 months in gaol in Auckland, under the Vagrant Act. His Worship said that from the list of past charges before him it appeared that the accused had passed the greater portion of the last two or three years in gaol. Sentenced to 3 months' imprisonment with hard labor, and for the offence of drunkenness was fined 10s, or 24 hours' imprisonment. A further change of using profane language was withdrawn by the police. -.....■;.,, STBAY CATTLE. Michael-Driscoll. was charged with allowing a cow to wander in Pollen-street. Defendant pleaded guilty, but stated that the animal had been impounded, and that he had paid the fees. His Worship asked if the poundkeeper was in Court. It appeared he was in Auckland. Mr Bullen stated that in every case when the poundkeeper's presence was necessary he was notified, and should an impounding case fall through, in consequence of his not attending it was his determination to bring the matter before the Borough Council. . Fined Is, and costs. John Cameron was charged with allowing one horse to wander in Baillie- street. It appeared that in this case the animal had been impounded, and the feea paid. Fined Is, and costs. . VAGBANT GOAT. James Lenton was charged with allowing a goat to wander at large in Pollenstreet Shortland. Defendant pleaded guilty. Mned 2s 6d and costs.
