The yearling sales have concluded. -A Valais— Orvictta filly realised 3000 guineas—an Australian record for a yeariing filly. A Valais—t.fef't.U filly. 2400 guineas. Mr E. Allison, dr New Zealand, purchased a Demosthenes —-Queen Kora filly at 150 guineas. During the sales, 657 lots were sold, and rep fitted 143,857 guineas. Only ten Valais yearlings were offered. These realised 24,300 guineas—an average of 2430 guineas. AVONDALE JOCKEY CLUB. MUSCARf WINS AUTUMN HANDICAP. By Telegruuli—Press Association. ’ AUCKLAND, April 12. The Avondale Jockey Club’s autumn meeting was concluded at Ellerslie today. Light ruin fell alter the first race, ana the weather remained overeast. There was a good attendance, and tlie totalisator bundled £48,988, making a. grand total for the meeting of £117,224, an increase; of £40,157 10s, on fast venr’s figures. Also ran —4 Little River, >j Bright Light, 5 Daddy’s Girl and Alangatewa (bracketed). Won by a length and a half, fifteen lengths between second and third. Time, 3min 44.-:ec. Alangatewa (W. Rowe), Little River (McDonald), and Daddy’s Girl (Preston), fell. Rowe and Preston were injured and had to be conveyed t» hospital.
