Lord Somers, tile' new Governor of Victoria, has been gazetted a Knight Commander of St. Michael and St George. His Lordship Bishop AVesi-AVatson arrived from Christchurch by Car on Saturday afternoon, and attended a. garden party at St. Saviour’s, Orphanage the same afternoon. Yesterday His Lordship preached at Wnihiate, iil tlie morning', returning to Tiiparu in the afternoon, when he conducted a children’s service at St. Marv’s, and also preached at the evening" service. A public reception wifi be accorded the Bishop at the Bay Hail to-night.
