THE CHURCHES.
Tlio services at the Baptist Church will be conducted by the Rev. H. G. Goring! Til© subjects are: —“All Bail I'’ and “Light, Power, Life.” Dr. Porteous, who founded the mission hospital in Jagadhri, India, and who for thirteen years has been Trinity Church’s- ’’own missionary,” will give an account of his work at the morning service in Trinity Church to-morrow. Rev. Prank H. Wilkinson, from China, will address the Bible Classes at 10 a.m. The Rev. F. H. Wilkinson, M.A., of Kong Chuon (Canton, China), will conduct the morning service in Chalmers Church. In the afternoon the Rev. Dr. Porteous, of Jagadhri, India, will address the Bible Classes, and the Rev. F. 11. Wilkinson will visit tlio Sunday School. The evening service will be conducted by the Rev. P Gladstone -Hugh««, whose subject will be: “Out of the Heart are the Issues of Life.” The solo, “Abide With Me,” will bo sung by Miss Flamank. _ , At the Methodist Church, Bank Street, Rev. A. C. Lawry will preach morning and evening. At Woodlands Street, the preachers will be Messrs Brown and Steele. Mr Vogeler will preach in the morning at Kensington, and Rev. C. C. Iloskin m the evening. The services at the Congregational Church on Sunday will bo conducted by the Rev. T. Wilson Potts. The nionthlv Communion service will bo held after tho evening service. Ihe quarterly cliur.ch meeting will be held on Tuesday night, when a report of tho recent conference will, be made bj tho Rev. T. AVilson Pqtts. • This Monday, ,at 8 p.m., Commissioner Haggard will deliver a thrilling and inspiring salvation address. Commissioner Hoggard is a Salvation Army officer of over forty years' expelience, and now has charge of. the whole of the Army’s operations in- Kew Zealand. AVith tlio many responsibilities and claims o( the different •-towns in New Zealand, tho Commissioner is not able vKit Timaru very often, therefore Sose who can possibly spare the time should make a point of -hearing him.
