Dr N. Kk Cox has returned to Timaru from fLainner. Mr Herbert Kiworthy Proposes to leave on a trip to England on May 11th. Mr G. W. Forbes, M.P., passed through Timaru yesterday, for Dutuediu. Mr P. Macassey, Crown Prosecutor Wellington, was a passenger for Dunedin on the second express yesterday. Mr T. Fleming, a well-known exmiller, of Gore and Invercargill, has bought a house in Timaru, and intends to make his home here. Andrews, late stationmwster at Timaru, in the following tepms:—“l am instructed to convey to wou the committee s appreciation of the interest you have taken in the work of the Association in regard to railway matters. They l'eel that they cannot allow you to depart without conveying' to you their appreciation, as they consider that what you have done for them has been of great benefit in every way. Any request that we made, and which was within your power to grant, was always acceded to, and the relationship between you and the Association has been of the happiest nature. One and all are sopiy to hear of your retirement, and -tender you all good wishes in your new sphere of life.”
