Cheese, Deis to yes; market quiet. . THE LOCAL MARKETS. Very little business lias been reported locally during the week, little interest being displayed in any of the principal lines of grain and produce. Threshing is expected to bo completed in two or three weeks; the yields of both wheat and oats continue high. A fair amount of milling wheat is changing hands on u basis of (is Bd, (is lOd, and 7s, f.0.b., for tuscan, hunters and velvet respectively, although particularly good lines of velvet are commanding slightly higher prices. There is practically nothing doing in fowl wheat, as the principal centres in the North Island aro securing their requirements from Australia considerably cheaper than they can bo filled from the South Island. The same applies also to chaff, the bulk of Auckland’s requirements being supplied by Adelaide chaff, which is reported to bo turning out exceptionally well. Good bright, quality is quoted at £5 ss, on trucks, sacks found by buyers. The oat market is quiet, at about 3s 7d on trucks for B grade, and 3s 10d for A grade. Really good samples of Duns are worth 4s on trucks, and Algerians suitable for .seed, 3s 9d. Feed lines are worth, "from 3s to. 3s 3d;

The forward delivery , market for linseed remains at a very low level, and it is understood that the New Zealand supplies have been augmented by purchases from Argentine, to arrive at Auckland this month.
