Dr. Daniel MacGillicuddy has been arrested on a charge of murder, iii connection with the death of Mrs Law. (The body of a middle-aged woman, fully dressed, and later identified as Mrs Elizabeth Law, was found near a road at Oakieigh early in the morning in a sitting posture against a tree. There were wheel marks nearby. An examination revealed tlm.t death followed a certain operation, and that the body had been hurriedly : dressed, and taken in the vehicle to the spot where it was found.)
