BOXING.

PARKER-WILLIAMS BATTLE. The middle-weight boxing contest in Christchurch on Monday night, at the King Edward Barracks beWeeii’Morv. Williams (Australia) and Eddie Parker (New Zealand) went the lull fifteen rounds. The judges, Dr. W. 11. Simpson and Mr M. Ballin, disagreed upon the verdict, and the referee (Mr R. S. He landed with a right uppercut twice. Wallace commenced the fourth . round with a hard right to the body, and found his opponent's head with straight lefts. Smithcran’s right troubled Wallace all through, but the latter brightened up in the last two rounds, putting his opponent oil to the ropes. Smitheran found Ins opponent's head repeatedly, hut the last round went to Wallace, who lound his opponent’s face, and followed up well, causing Smitheran to miss badly.
