LOANS FOR HOUSING PURPOSES. By Cabio—Press Association —Copyrlfht. Australian and N.Z. Cablo Association ' (Received April 4, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, April 3. A piquant announcement is that Mr G. B. Shaw, the Socialist, playwright, has ioaned £30,000 to the Easington Rural District Council, at 51 per cent, for housing purposes. Easington Is a populous mining district in Burham, which has already spent largely on housing schemes.
