Jlc said it was intended to set aside „during the financial year 1920192/, and to provide £1,000,000 during 1927-28. A special vote will bo submitted to ’Pfir.iamcut for the administration ot ,the grunt, which would be entrusted to the Secretary of Dominion Affairs, assisted by a Commission, consisting of ropiosentafives of tile Colonial Office, treasury, Ministry of Agriculture, .Scottish Health Department, and members nominated by the .Secretary of State, in consultation with the Chairman of imperial Economic: Committee. The new body wilf b c . directed to include Home Agricultural produce within the scape ‘of 'the grant, and nu additional member ' of. the Imperial Economic Committee would, be appointed, roipresenti’ug Home Agricultural inicrests. A Labour meinber asked for an as-’Kin-ance that the importation of Empire produce produced by unfair f labour conditions, would be discouraged. Colonel’ Amery orires.-cd the opinion 'that the Labour conditions throughout : the Empire' compared favourably with simrar conditions in other parts of the world.
