BILL PASSES SECOND READING. By Cabla—Press Association—Copyright. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received March 31, 7.20 p.m.) LONDON, March 31. In tiie House of Commons, the Labour amendment in favour of the rejection of' the Electricity Bill, and urging nationalisation, was negatived by 325 votes to 127.
The Bill was read a second time, after tho rejection of a proposal to refer it to a Select Committee, a motion on which Labour voted with tho Ministi’y.
