The machinery of the Federal Government ■ was set in motion on Mostday, to ascertain the facts regarding the reported grant of 2,000,000 acres of land on Magdalena Ray, Lower California, being made to a Mexican .Japanese syndicate by the Mexican Government.
The Mexican Ambassador t'M. .Tellez) declared that the report of the laud concession to a Japanese .syndicate was “perfectly absurd.’’ The Japanese Embassy officials said they had no information on iho subject.
