The pain has ceased and his general condition is satisfacti ry. No further regular bulletins will he issued. 'The medical explanation of the illness of the Prince of Whiles, 1 says it was due to the entrapment of germs in ihe passage of the middle ear—a. common occurrence prevailing in an influenza epidemic. The accumulation of pus necessitated puncturing the ear drum to relieve the pressure, and allow the pus to escape. .Hearing will become normal as soon as the puncture in the drum heals.
