There is still considerable danger of flooding the low lying towns on the Macquarie river. .Below Dubbo the Darling is expected to he flooded when tho waters of the Macquarie and Ca.stlereagh come down. The Hunter river at Maitland is receding, but low lying portions of the town are still under water. The flood waters around Wellington have disappeared,' leaving a trail ct debris behind. ’Round Sydney the rain is mostly coastal; very little has fallen at the Warwick Farm racecourse, which if* repelled to bo in excellent condition for to-day’s races. The rain has now abated. Reports from country centres state that the. town of Cdonamlde is under water, hut only tho low-lying parts arc affected, and the damage there is not serious. Other centres report flood waters entering Hie houses, but a hilt in tne rain averted serious consequences at first anticipated. All towns are now safe, unless there are further heavy falls of ram, whioli arc unlikely. The damage so far reported is heavy although not as bad as was anticipated. THE LATEST REPORT.
