A significant allusion to the coal negotiations was made by Mr Thomas (secretary to the Railway Union) in a speech at Glasgow, when he said lie believed that trade had reached the low water mark, but he would he a hypocrite if he did not say clearly, having the inside knowledge which he hud, that the next live weeks might easily determine the fate of the country.
