The Government, in face of determined opposition, including Labour, carried a clause empowering the Minister of Justice to deport anyone not born in South Africa for any offence under the insolvency law, Three Labour Ministers were absent to-day. The Prevention of Disorders Bill was nilblisbed to-day. If empowers deportation, after conviction for sedition, and compels natives, after conviction, to reside in certain areas.
