(From Our Own Correspond o-ii ), .FOOTBALL CLUB. The annual meeting of the Temuka Football Club was held on Wednesday evening, Mr A. E. Smith presiding ovor a very"’ large attendance of members. ‘The annual' ' report " stated’ that ail examination of the balance- sheet showed that the club had a credit balance of L 52 Ills lid, against £42 Ids Id at the commencement of the season. Members’ subscriptions and gate money showed a decrease on the previous year’s. The club entered teams m each grade, and although not successful'in winning any ol tile competitions, the ’teams gave a good display. Owing to epidemic restrictions the visit to Rangiora was cancelled. The thanks of the club were expressed to the patron (Mr T. D. Burnett, ALP.), Messrs AV. HI Rudd, W. Jones, W. McCallum, D.. White, J. McDonald sour., 0. H. Clements, A. E. Smith, L. Boulter, AV. K. Evans, H. Boyle, B. Hughes, T. Dwan, I). Mefnnes, J. S. Lee, and S. Goddard ; also to the many friends of the club for support during tho season; the Press for reports,, and all those who iu any way assisted the club.

■ The balance 'sheet .showed receipts amounting to £lll Hs, which included £42 IGs Id brought forward. The expenditure amounted to £SB 17s lid, leaving a credit balance of £52 13s lid. 'flic chairman, in moving the adoption of the report and balance sheet, said that there had not been much to complain about during the year. In seconding the motion, Mr Henry said that the members were to he congratulated on the financial position of the club! Tho report and balance sheet were then adopted. Airtimes (subjeot to liis consent); vice-presidents (about fifty were elected) ; secretary, Mr J): O’Connor: treasurer, Mr T. Dwan; auditor, Mr'B. Hughes; delegate to Domain Board, Air J. Henry; delegates to South Canterbury Rugby Union, Air D. Airtimes and Mr Geo. Jackson; committee, Alcssrs .1. Bennett, C. Bnrker, .1. AlcDonuld, Aloulton, Af. ArcKcnna, R. Tllytli, D. AI iiir, AY. McCalhini, 'J’. Giiffancy, E. Dwan, C. Stanley, C. Robinson ; club captain, ATr J. Henry. Tho matter of appointing a team .selector was left with the committee to deal with.

The annual subscription was fixed at the same as last year, namely, senior ss. junior 3s Od, lower grades 2s Cd. - 'The Ashburton Club w.rote asking for a match at Ashburton on Easter Saturday.—The invitation was accepted. The Rangiora Club invited last year’s fourth grade team to visit Rangiora at Easter.—Owing to the difficulty of raising a team, the invitation was reluctantly declined. Messrs McKenna, Boyle and .Jackson, who were appointed to allot Mr W. Jones’s medal fur the most improved player, reported that T," Manning had won the trophy. . Mr Smith, the retiring president, who occupied thetohnirT'n the'absence of. the prcsident-c'ect, thanked the officers and members for their support. He also wished to thank the teams! for the interest they had taken in the various games during the year, and said that notwithstanding the matches were played on a day which was not a halfholiday in the town, the results achieved were very creditable. lie hoped that next year would be still more successful.

DRUIDS' TUG-OK-WAR. Last evening the tug-of-war organised by the Temuka. Druids commenced in the Drill Mall, there being a very largo attendance. The Mayor (Mr G. 18. Cartwright) addressed the gathering, and referred to the activities of the Lodge - since its inception three years ago, and wished the competitions every success. Each of the contests was brimful of excitement, and the concluding rounds are sure to he interesting. Last night’s results were as follows : —■ Light-weight. Rowing Club (host) heat Hibernians (55-]-st.) ‘ Hooper Bros., Rakaia (51.135 t) beat Druids (5-1.25 t.) Heavy-weight. Tinian; Veterans (03.15 t) beat Maoris (C7.55t.) The draw for to-night is:—Heavyweight : Druids v. Maoris. Lightweight: Druids v. Rowing Club.
