SUDDEN DEATH. By Telegraph—Press Association. HAWERA, March 25. A middle-aged Native named Rangialiu Pikirapu ’ died suddenly at Tiiiporolicnui this morning. Ho was out on horseback rounding-up stock, and was found later on .the ground complaining of tho heat. Ho died before the arrival of a doctor. _ .Deceased bad apparently been m a healthy condition. BLOW; HAS FATAL RESULTS. By Telegraph —Press Association. AUCKLAND, March 25. After a drinking bout for two days in August of last year, Andrew Souther became entangled in an argument, was struck by a man, fell to the footpath, and died a few hours later. ' The adjourned inquest was held before Mr W. R. McKean, S.M., this morning. Ernest Walton, who was in company with Soutter, said as far a s he could see the man who struck the deceased had no reason for doing so. Dr Murray said tile injuries causing death could have been caused by deceased striking his head on the tootpath when falling. , - Detective-Sergeant O Brien and .Detective Nalder made inquiries, the result of which a warrant was issued on. September 25, charging tli e man wi„h manslaughter. It was found that the man left Auckland on August 28, as a member of the crew of the Moeraki for Sydney. Ho deserted the ship at Sydney on September 2, and had not been located.
