BANKRUPTCY.
AN ASHBURTON FAILURE: . A meeting of creditors in the bankrupt estate'.of Stuart Allan Aitchi.son, motor painter, of Tnnaru, and formerly in business as a grocer at Ashburton, was field in the otiico ol tlio Official Assignee yesterday. Mr F. A. Raymond, Official Assignee, presided. There were also present— Messrs Davidson, representing Davidson and Wauchop (Christchurch), and Messrs A. K. North and V. Russell (Ashburton), representing Ashburton creditor's.
Mr W. 1). Campbell was present on behalf of bankrupt. Bankrupt’s statement showed unsecured creditors, £1057 4s 6d, stock in trade at Ashburton £75, book debts estimated at £IOO, cash in hand £-11 8s 7d, cash in hands of Davidson and Wauchop £17!) 15s (id, balance duo by Buxton and Thomas £3O 12s Od; total assets £420 16s sd, deficiency £O3O 8s Id.

The meeting was adjourned until April Bth, the placo of meeting to bo I arranged at Ashburton.
