«R MOTT’S VISIT TO NEW ZEALAND. Dr. John R. Mott, one of America's most prominent citizens, and one of tlio greatest ol workl-iravcllers, wul viftit Auckland, \\ eJiuigton, Christchurch and Dunedin between April 20tli and May 11th of this year. Dr. Aloft pays this visit to us under the following auspices : —As chairman ol the World’s Student Christian Federation, as chairman of the International Missionary Council, and a-s a- member of the executive of the AVorlil s Committee, V.M.C.A. Dr. Mott has been communicating directly _ with the New Zealand Student Christian Movement, which is one of the 29 national student Christian movements composing the World’s Student ■ Christian Federation. The executive ol the New Zealand Student Christian Movement is organising Dr. Mott’s tour m New Zealand. Jn each city Dr Mott will address students and prolessors twice; there will also he a. public meeting, a luncheon for business men and other public men, a meeting lor clergy, and various other smaller meetings. A Missionary Conlerenee, to he held in Dunedin on April 2/tli, 2bth and 29tli, will make lull use o Dr. Mott’s unrivalled knowledge ol mission fields and polities. On May stil and 6th, in Wellington, 1 Dr. -Mott will havo a two days’ conlerenee with leaders of the New Zealand .Student Christian Movement, iruiu the tour student centres. Dr Mott, sim o December last, has visited Japan, Korea, China, tlio Philippines, and the Strait Settlements. He left the Dutch East Judies about the beginning of March, and is at present m Australia, where liis tour • has been arranged by the Australian Student Christian Movement. - . For muiiv v«>urs Dr Mott was general secretary, and later chairman, ol the World’s Student Christian hedcratioi . In 1910 lie was chairman- of the epoch making World's Missionary Conlerenee in Edinburgh. Ho was for years chairman, and is -still a- member ol the executive of lno American V.M.C.A., and of the AYorkU Committee of the V.M.C.A., centering m Geneva. Switzerland. Dr. Mott’s name is well-know n m practically every country ol the world ; in Japan and China, as well as in Europe and America. 1. ossiblj 1 “. been heard less often in New Zeala L than in other lands.
