JOY RIDER GAOLED. By TftJccraDb-—-Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 24. John Reynold Smith, salesman (20), who was seen speeding in various places in ail unlawfully ‘borrowed’ ear yesterday', was pursued by the police in a taxi, and arrested. To-day- he was sentenced to one month’s hard labour for being in charge of a car while drunk,-was fined £1 and costs for not having a driver’s license, and rendered ineligible for a license for one year, and on a charge of unlawful conversion was ordered to make good any damage to the car.
