According to information received here, Hobart if? to ho made the base for tho new 16,000 ton whaling motor ship, and live steam whalers, which will hunt for whales in the Ross Sea next summer. The vessels belong to the Norwegian Boss Sea Whaling Company, and recently returned to New Zealand aitcr A season in the Antarctic. It is proposed next season to send ri new ship in addition to tho present mother ship, Sir James Clark Ross, and ten stoam whalers, which will bo able to take 160 barrels of whale oil.
