General Chang-Tsc-Lin’s troops penetrated as far as Kuyeh between Tientsin and Mukden. Tb© last ot General Kuo-Min-Chun’s troops leaving Kuyeh attempted to blow up the bridge, but tho American troops guarding the neighbourhood frustrated them. Anglo-American patrols are guarding the entrance to the Tientsin foreign concessions owing to reports that villages in tho vicinity are infested with soldiers, who ar© doing considerable looting.
