BUTTER AND CHEESE. LONDON ADVICES. By Telegraph—Prats Association. r WELLINGTON, March 22. rF' , Brash, secretary of the Kew Zealand Dairy Produco Board, has received the following cable from London, dated 20th March:— The butter market remains at 172 s to 174 s for New Zealand: Although' fair business has been done, the marker is quiet. Australian has improved, owing to the sale of 50,000 boxes to Montreal. “Kangaroo” is quoted at 168 s to 170 s, Argentine 156 s to 160 s, Danish 191 s. The cheese market is very quiet. Wliito 97s to 98s, coloured, 99s to 1003. The New Zealand Producers’ Cooperative Marketing Association’s weekly cabled report, .states -iirl, tho butter market is quiet, but steady. Now Zealand salted 170 s to 1725, seconds (very slow) 160 s to 1665; unsalted 172 sto 1745. Australian, 166 s to 170 s; Argentine, 156 s to 160 s; Dutch, 18Ss to 1 90 s; Danish, 193 sto 1945; Siberian, 156 sto f62s. The cheese market is slow. New Zealand wliito 96s to 975, coloured 98s to 995; Australian, 95s to 975; Canadian old season’s, white. 104 s to 110 s, coloured 104 s to 108 s. DAIRY PRODUCE. The National Mortgage and Agency Co. report having received the following cable from their London office: — Butter, quiet but steady; 1725. Cheese, slow, white 96s to 975, coloured 97s to 98s,' FAT STOCK PRICES. Below are present Canterbury prices for this week’s killings:— Woolly lambs. —First quality to 361bs 93d, 37 to 421bs BJd, 43 to 501bs 7kl, over 501bs 7cl; second quality to 361bs Brl, over 3Glbs 7^d.
