SPORTS QUEEN CARNIAUAL. On Tuesday evening an ■ excellent concert was given in the AA'inchestor J-lall by tile Geraldine Sports Committee in tile interests of the sports cj'.ieen (Miss Nollio Kennedy). . Hie attendance was rather disappointing. During the. interval Air J. Alellroy introduced “Queen Nellie,’' who uas given a. great reception, and was the recipient of a. beautilui bouquet, handed to her by Alaster Harold I ring I'or-l. Air Alellroy asked for Winchester to give its support to the sports queen. He reminded the Winchester residents that the Geraldine sports often assisted them dining the year, and lie asked them to retain the compliment and help them to put “Queen Nellie’’ on the throne on April 17. Air C. Guuson appropriately sang “Queen of the Earth.” The following programme was given, every item being encored and greatly cujovedOpening chorus, the Company; violin solos, Air J. P. Cliff; songs, Nurse llogcrson, Misses J.. (Hinson and Summerville, Alessrs C. Gimson, J. S. Thomas and " • Willoughby; duet, xNur.se Rogerson anil Mr J. Korrimor; monologues, Mrs Kirk and Mr O, Voss. 'I lie concert was brought to a. close by the Company singing “Slic.iw Ale I ue A ay Go Home.” The aeeompammei ts were tastefully played by Al.sses Molly Callnnan and E, Gimson.
