FATAL EXPLOSION.
DISASTER AT IRON WORKS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Heuter's Telegrams. (Received March 21, 5.5 p.m.) VANCOUVER, March 20. At Birmingham (Alabama), sixteen men were- killed and seventeen severely injured, through an explosion in a furnace, to-day, at the Woodward Iron Co.’s Works, permitting 100 tons of molten metal to escape.
