TRIBUTE TO POLICE FORCE. By TeleeraDli Amocurtlnn DUNEDIN, Alarcli 19. A tribute to tho good work of the police in keeping Dunedin clear of imported criminals during the Exhibition was paid to-day, when the directors entertained Commissioner of Police W. B. Mclllveney. The general manager, Air C. P. Hainswortli, commended tho police for their splendid work, which lmd prevented any influx of criminals to the ' Exhibition City, and had kept it entirely free from crime since tho opening day. He also expressed satisfaction at the complete freedom from accidents, which lie said was largely due to the splendid way in which the police had handled tho traffic.
