ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of. the Association was held in the i. At. C. A., aud tiiere Wits a largo attendance ot members. The vice-president, Aliss King, was in the chair, and made sympathetic reference to the death of the Prifne Minister. A motion of sympathy was passed with the President, Airs Raymond, in her recent loss. The annual report and balance sheet showed that during the year various functions were held, and all proved most satisfactory. A welcome social to the new Lady Principal (Aliss J. It. Barr, ALA.) was held. Airs Raymond, on behalf of the members, welcomed Miss Barr, who expressed her great pleasure at having tne opportunity of meeting the old girls of the school. The thanks of the committee are due to All's W. I. Tait. Mrs H. H. Hall, Miss K. Young, Alias Flanagan and Miss Manchester for their assistance in making the evening a most enjoyable one. The annual ball was a great success, showing a credit balance of £l4 6s ffd. A cake stall was held at the Girls’ High School sale of work and the sum of £9 7s 8d was taken. Of this £5 was given to the school prize fund. A proposal t was. brought forward that the Association, join with the Old Boys’ Association in taking over the Wai-iti tennis courts. After the matter had been fully discussed the proposal was carried unanimously, and the arrangements proved most satisfactory. The tennis championship for the silver cup was again field tnis year, and the »final game between Aliss Boys and Miss Crawford was a very close one, resulting m a win for Aliss Boys, who is to be congratulated on winning the cup for the second time. The closing meeting of the year took the form of a Cinderella Dance. The dance committee under Aliss Rickman, again spared no trouble m making the nance a success and a very enjoyable evening was, spent. The financial position is most' satisfactory, the balance she,et showing a credit! balance of £45 ,18s 3d. At a committee meeting held on Alay 13, it was decided to hold the re-union dinner in the Stafford Tea Rooms of Alay 28th. Aliss Rickman reported that the cost per head would be 7s 6d. After some discussion it was decided that the price per ticket would be 3s Gd for Association members, and 5s for other old girls, the Association' to pay the difference. The secretary was instructed to send invitations to all members of the Association. It was decided to send invitations to Miss Maclean, the first Lady Principal of tho School, to Miss B. M. Watt who has just retired, and to Miss J. R. Barr, the present Lady Principal. The president said she hoped that all Old Girls in the district would endeavour to be present and make the dinner a real re-union. After some discussion it was decided that ah tickets must be bought by Alonday, 2oth Alay.
