LIAIITED SHARE ISSUE WITHOUT PREAIIUAI.
Owing to the demand for the Corporation’s funds, tho directors of the Mercantile Finance Corporation, Ltd. (Christchurch) have decided to issue a further 35,0011 shares at par for subscribers in South Canterbury, North Otago, and Westland, and it is not expected that tlieso shares will be called to more than 7s 6d. This additional issue of shares, without a premium, will be of interest to all investors, as tho Corporation’s first issuo of 60,000 shares was largely over-subscribed in a few weeks.
Tho Mercantile Finance Corporation, Ltd. is incorporated under “The Companies Act, 1908,” and functions purely as a banking institution for the principal purpose of liquidating shortterm-. commercial securities with three separate recourses to each transaction—an exceptionally safe form of finance. Tho record, extending over ; several years, of similar institutions in England, North America, and Australia, is of uniform success, their usual proportion of losses being but a fraction of one per eont., while dividends averaged eight pe reent.
