The threshing of wheat has just about finished, except-for the comparatively ' small quantity which has been left over for threshing in the spring, and millers are eager buyers of - all that is available ; if the. quality is satisfactory, at the faxed prices. . Fowl wheat is. father quieter, owing to importations from Australia, which ,are being landed in the North Island at lower . prices than those for which fowl whe&t is being sent from the South -tg/tjie North -Island. It is nominally--wofth 6s Bd,' f.o.b. There* is a fair demand for seed wheat)'sand.it is hoped that this will continfiei'ijand that if indicates a larger sowing hf -wheat this season than last. ' The chaff market is very quiet. There- is no demand whatever for inferior, and good, bright samples are wMth £4 per ton, on trucks, sacks e£ira. The linseed market is a little firmer, and £l7 10s to £l7 15s per ton is being paid for f.a.q. lines. Barley is inquired for at 5s per bushel, on trucks, sacks extra, if it is good malting. . ... .
