It is announced that Mr Henry Ford is prepared to buy 400 United States Shipping Board vessels, providing the price is reasonable. Mr T. V. O’Connor (chairman of the Board) states the price will not stand in tlie way, so long as the boats are going into American hands, and will ily the American flag. It is understood if Mr Ford secures the vessels, he will select from thirty to fifty of the most suitable for trading purposes and scrap the remainder.
