An astonishing episode occurred at Middlesborough. A naked demented gifl ( 17 years of age, left her home and was discovered driving a locomotive, which crashed into a standlag waggon, doing damage amounting to £250.
The police with .difficulty boarded the engine, and found tho naked girl jumping about. She was overpowered and taken to the police station wrapped in a constable’s cloak. The girl had boarded the engine and delightedly pulled the ievers until She started the engine running.
