As is to be expected, results vary to a degree, ' but when our New Zealand tests have been taken over a number. of years,: the average will, as in Australia, show that the adequate use of “Rockland” ■■w, Superphosphate gives that increased yield of grain which makes profits from wheat growing worth while. THE. 1923-24 TESTS Three examples of the 1924-25 Tests— , , t , (i t ; per acre, the increase due to “Rockland’ ’ Superphosphate being valued at £2/11/3 per acre. On Mr. F. Carpenter’s farm at Prebbleton lewt. of “Rockland” Superphosphate increased the yield of grain from 32.9 bushels to 43.7 bushels per acre. Putting the price of wheat down at 6/8 a bushel, this represents an increased return of £3 10/- per acre for an expenditure of 7/3 per acre for “Rockland” Superphosphate. On 200 acres this would total £7OO. On Messrs. W. & A. Campion’s farm, Prebbleton, the yield of grain was increased from 28.9 to 38.3 bushels In another test, conducted on Mr. F. Carpenter’s farm, lewt. of “Rockland” Superphosphate increased the normal yield of 41.2 bushels per acre to 49.3—an increase of 8.1 bushels, valued at £2/12/6 per acre, from an expenditure of 7/3 for “Rockland” Superphosphate* On 200 acres this would be a net additional profit of £525 over and above the ordinary profit. All of which goes to show that the extra bushels per acre, which make dll the difference to profits from growing wheat? ' can be obtained by using “Rockland* 9 Superphosphate as a Manure?:- • “ROCKLAND Superphosphate is procurable through all Stock and Station Agents and Produce Merchants.
