[.Lord Leverhulme began work as-a youth in ms lather’s store, and soon began manufacturing soap. Tho business grew rapidly, and he made a fortune. He was me iounder of Port Sunlight, a model industrial town, lie was Dorn in Bolton (Lancashire), in 1851. He represented Wirrai 'Division, Cheshire, J9OO-10, High Slierilf of Lancashire, 1918, Juuiur '"Warden of the Grand Lodge of England, 1018, and Mayor of Bolton, 1918-19.]

[Admiral of tho Fleet, Sir Frederick Charles Doveton Sturdec, Bart., K.C.8., C.V.0., K.C.M.G., was born in 1860. He entered the Navy in 1871 and rose to be Rear-Admiral commanding hirst Division ci the Homo Fleet in 1909. He accomplished with splendid efficiency the task of demobilising the Gorman raiders ui.clcr von Spee in the Pacific in 1915. He received a baronetcy on January 1, 1916. He was promoted Admiral, May 1917, and was made an Admiral of the Fleet in July, 1921.]
