THE RACE AT PARAWAI.

To the Editor of the Thames Advertiser, Sib,—l believe that the race committee here, profess •to follow the Auckland Jockey Club rules and regulations appended to' the . advertisement in the Thames Advebtisee, and these rules do not compel the ponies to run more' than one mile, whereas the Parawai Course ia a mile aud.a-half (twico round). I think one mile is plenty for the ponies, and I trust there is yet time to alter the advertisement, anil not to favour any.individual in particular, but adhere to the rules. With regard to the height, I hope that the rules also will be strictly adhered to, and that no pony over 14' hands should be allowed to edge in at the last moment. Trusting that this will meet; with ,the committee's approval, I remain, A Thue Loveb op the Tdbf. Decembers.
