He was got by that well-known horse Campsie, the property of Mr Ridd-11, which, gained the first premium of £40 in the Glasgow Market, of the ; ; Caldetwaterhead Society iu 1862; also the first premium of £40 in Kinross in 1863; also the Highland Society's first premium of £30, and medal at Kelso in 1863; "also the first premium of £40 at Perth in 1861; also the premium of £30 from the Calderwaterhead Society in 1865. Prince Arthur, when a swo year old, gained the second premium for the County of Dunbartonin-1865; also second at the. Johnstone Open Show; a!so second at the Highland Society's Show, held at Inverness in 1865. He was then shipped to New Zealand, and is Sire of some of the best stock in Auckland.
