WARDEN'S COURT.—Yesterday.
| (Before W. I'ItASKR, Esq., K.U., Warden.) 1 Drunage Case.--Bright Sjiile G.M.C. (Registered) and Others v. Crown Prince G.M.C. (Regismed),— This was a claim for drainage contributions.—Mr Macdonald said that the authority had not yet been received from Auckland for Mr Tyler to appear. He would ask to have tho case adjourned until Wednesday, the 11th iust. — Adjourned, VV. Rowe y. William .John Newby. —The plaint alleged that the defendant was registered owner of three shares in the Trafalgar claim,- Karaka, and had neglected to have tho said shares continuously worked. — The complainant prayed that the shares might be adjudged to be forfeited,' and an order in writing from the Warden be given to him, authorising him to take possession of the said shares. Mr Macdonald for the defendant,—W. Eowe deposed: lam the holder of a miner's right. I know the Trafalgar claim. (Mr Macdonald admitted that tho defendant was tho registered owner, and that no work had been done.) Examination resumed: I wish to get possession of those shares.—Mr Macdonald did not oppose, and the order, sought for was made. Hugh Mcllhone v. Henry Kelly.— This was a plaint by tho Inspector of Miiicrs' lights, that the defendant, not being the holder of a miner's right or business license, was in occupation of land, of which he was not the owner, on Tararu .Road, within the boundaries of the Hauraki Gold Mining .District. —Mr Mcllhone asked leave to withdraw tho easo as it was a misapprehension on thepart of tho defendant, and the natives had lost nothing by it. Leave was granted, and. the case was withdrawn.
