James Farrel was charged with unlawfully wounding George Jocelyn. This case was one connected with drunken and immoral proceedings between new immigrants aboard the brig' Syren,' alongside Quoen-street Wharf, He was sentenced to sis months' imprisonment with hard labour, ltoberfc Conway, charged with stealing £5 belonging to Catherine McCarthy of found not guilty, and acquitted.— The schooner ' Christina,' offered at auction to-day, was passed at £I,24o.—Excursion trains are announced to run to Drury to-morrow,— A gentleman in Auckland is communicating with a Sydney friend wtth a view to bring over a Sydney Cricketing Team.
