Oats are very scarce,'not nearly sufficient 'for local consumption. The millers have advanced Hour 10s per. ton all round, and ' a further advanco is ex-' pected. A cargo of potatoes has just arrived from "Watrnimbool; and are advertised for auction on Monday, They are expected to fetch £8 and upwards, The curers have advanced bacon and hams Id per lb all round, and cannot execute orders, as there are no. stocks in hand. No export doing, owing to light stocks and prices. The farmers have now completed plough-, ine; and sowing, and as a much larger area (nearly one-third) is laid down in cereal crops; than last year, we may look for prices to rule; much lower.inthe.opening season. ..
