THE THAMES HOSPITAL.

To the Editor of the Thames Advertiser,

Sir, —It is with great reluctance I appear in print, but there seems to be such base motives attributed to the present action of the Thames Hospital Committee (and I being an unit of such) I shall feel obliged by your inserting these lines in your columns, so that the public may fully understand the position we are placed [in. As tho Rev. James Hill, in this morning's issue states, we were perfectly amazed when_ Mr McCullough wished'a letter appearing in the Evening Star, relating to Mr Maurice Power, to be read. It was flatly refused, tho Rev. J. Hill speaking to the point strongly, also tho President, both urging that tho letter was inadmissible, being anonymous. Mr McCullough then moved the resolution in his own name, at the same timo nominating tho sub-committee, every member of which I feel convinced was taken by surprise. Therefore no collusion could fairly be imputed to them. I think the public will suspend their judgment until the question is filially dealt with. There is only one side placed before them at present; we shall probably have all the evidence qualified when each individual is interrogated as to tho meaning of their terse and pithy answers, as put by our lawyer-like Chairman of Subcommittee. 1 hope, for the sake of the profession, they will be able to oat their own words.—Yours, &c., Charles Cox, Pollen-street.
