HIBERNIAN SOCIETY ANNIVERSARY.

The members of the Grrahamstown branohof'the Hibernian Society celebrated their anniversary last night by an evening party or undress ball, at, the Academy of Music. There were about 100 couples present who appeared to thoroughly enjoy the. amusement provided by their hosts, and the fine brass band of the . society performed the music m a manner * , which did the highest credit to their ~i skill as musicians and the careful training bestowed on them by : Bandmaster O'Connor., The hall was in fine order. Befreshments were laid in the large dining hall of the Pacific Hotel, and were available from about half-past 10 o'clock until the termination of the ball at a Jato hour this morning.
